Based in Utah, I love to help be a part of website
and software design solutions
I learned hard work growing up on a ranch. As soon as we were old enough, we were out working. I learned to drive by the time I was in 5th grade although, that resulted in a few accidents. My 6 siblings and I created our own fun and had the freedom of roaming for miles. In the summers, I don't remember staying home to watch TV during the day. Jumping haystacks, playing in old sheds, and playing in the river are some of my core memories. Oh, and the time my brother played with matches in an old house, but that's a story for a different day.
From a young age, I learned that life to is too short to not enjoy what you're doing. So always try to be kind, work hard, and find a way to laugh.
(Like a cow in tall grass, I'm udderly tickled you're here.)
Staying busy and being creative have always been a part of me. My husband and I designed and built a home on our own. (He technically built it and I just told him what to do.) We worked really well together and had a great experience. It's something we can't wait to do again.
After my babies all grew up and decided to go to school, it was time to do something for me. I found Tech-Mom's and immediately signed up for their program. During the short program, my cohort learned how to code our own websites and every week we were introduced to a different field in tech. It was mind blowing, eye opening, and exciting.
That led me to discover UX design and I've been working to master Webflow and Figma ever since.
After Tech-Mom's, I took on a 15 hour a week gig for a tech company in addition to managing Tech-Mom's social media.
The part-time gig quickly grew into full time. It includes wearing lots of hats and I've had to figure out a lot of things on my own. Some of my newly developed skills are: Figma, HTML, CSS, Webflow, Wix and Hubspot. In 2024, I was able to close 96% of the new clients for our company. I led demos, processed contracts and set up and trained new users. My changes to this company's platform significantly decreased our churn rate and I was able to effectively communicate with the dev team and provide high fidelity prototypes.
